Népszabadság (literally "Freedom of the People", Hungary's main journal) writes the country's obituary: "
Már csak egy-két hét, és véget ér egy korszak, megszűnik egy állam, amelyet úgy hívtak, Magyar Köztársaság." In only one or two weeks an era is ending, and with it, the Hungarian Republic. With it disappears everything you believed was solid, its laws and its independent institutions. They seem unhappy.
